Due to construction work at night, a replacement rail service will be set up on the Fulda-Bebra route over the Easter weekend. A train is completely eliminated.
Region – On the Easter weekend there will be – small – restrictions on the Fulda – Bebra railway line at night. As the North Hessian Transport Association NVV reports, there will be occasional train cancellations and rail replacement services on the RB5 line from Saturday to Easter Monday from around 9 p.m.
Night construction work paralyzes Easter trains between Fulda and Bebra
The reason is nighttime construction work. The replacement service runs between Fulda from the “Busbahnhof/ZOB” stop and Bebra from the “Busbahnhof” stop and serves the “Bahnhof” stop in Hünfeld, Burghaun and Haunetal-Neukirchen, the “Busbahnhof” stop in Bad Hersfeld and the “Raiffeisenbank” stop in Ludwigsau-Friedlos. Trains on the RB5 line run between Bebra and Kassel according to the timetable. Only one train – departing at 10.11 p.m. from Kassel main station – will be canceled on Sunday without replacement.
Travel time may be extended; The replacement service starts from Fulda towards Kassel at different departure times. Despite construction work, according to the NVV, the aim is to reach connecting trains – but it can still happen that connections are not reached, the NVV announces. The NVV recommends checking the respective journey before starting.
Meanwhile, there are also restrictions on the Fulda-Hanau railway line. During the Easter holidays (March 30th to April 10th) there will be no trains for two weeks. Replacement buses and diversions ensure longer travel times.
