A burnt toast causes a fire brigade operation in Fulda. Luckily it's just smoke and a little scare.
Fulda – A black toast caused a major fire brigade operation in Fulda on Wednesday (April 1st). The 23-year-old resident of a two-family house on Regensburger Straße had forgotten the toast in the toaster, which led to smoke.
Forgotten toast causes the fire brigade to be called out
When the man noticed the smoke, he tried to reach his wife, who was on the way. However, the conversation broke off for unknown reasons, according to the police. Concerned for her husband's safety, the woman alerted the emergency services because she could not properly assess the situation.
A large number of fire brigade and police were then deployed to rule out possible dangers for the residents of the house. Fortunately, it turned out that only the toast was burnt and caused smoke. The toaster was then placed on the windowsill, the apartment was thoroughly ventilated and no damage was caused.
Things didn't end so smoothly that same evening a fire in Schlüchtern. Here a barn was on fire.
