Rúrik Gíslason becomes a film star!

In “Eat Pray Bark – Therapy on Four Paws” Rúrik Gíslason plays the dog trainer Nodon, who offers courses in the Tyrolean mountains for dog owners and their four-legged friends. The comedy is Watch on Netflix from April 1st. Rurik had previously had smaller appearances in the films “A Million Minutes” and “Wonderful”. He has been known to German audiences at least since his victory on “Let's Dance” five years ago.

The long time in Germany has not left the 38-year-old completely unaffected. In the junket together with actress Alexandra Maria Lara, who plays the dog-hating politician Ursula in “Eat Pray Bark – Therapy on Four Paws”, Rúrik reveals in an interview with RTL: “Of course I've become a bit German. I even think I have six Lederhosen at home.”

Six lederhosen, you can hardly be more German! And his fellow actress Alexandra Maria Lara also attests to him: “You could pass as a German.”

In the interview he also only has loving words about the Germans and even defends them. He sometimes hears that the Germans are not so positive, but rather negative. An impression that he doesn't share at all: “I find the Germans very positive and nice.” And he also really appreciates the fact that people here respect his private life so much.

That almost sounds too good to be true! It is, because Rurik then comes up with one point of criticism regarding Germany: He would like to see more healthy food at gas stations.
