Hanau – A motorcyclist was traveling much faster and louder in Hanau late on Wednesday evening (March 18th) than the regulations allow. This was noticed by a civilian police patrol, officers from the tuner, speeder and poser department. This is what the police say.

Shortly before midnight, the police noticed a Kawasaki Ninja 400 on Lamboystrasse in Hanau. The motorcycle was noticeable because of its extremely loud exhaust noise. The driver initially stopped at a red light, but accelerated sharply when the light turned green.

Through the city at 118 km/h: police stop bikers

The patrol activated the video tracking device in their civilian vehicle and began the pursuit. “The driver accelerated again on Antoniterstrasse. A speed of 118 km/h was measured at the permitted 50 km/h,” explained police spokesman Thomas Leipold.

The officers then turned on the blue lights and a stop signal. The driver immediately stopped his motorcycle. During the inspection, the police discovered several defects: The DB killer in the rear silencer was missing. The rear indicators were not present. In addition, the main inspection was overdue for around six months.

When asked about his driving style, the 21-year-old from Hanau replied that he wanted to “free up” the engine after the winter break. The officers confiscated the motorcycle, which will now be presented to an expert. The driver and owner face a fine of around 1,500 euros, two points in Flensburg and a three-month driving ban.

However Two days earlier, a dispute over noise in Langenselbold escalated. Pepper spray was used by young people and three people were injured, including two bystanders. The police in Kinzigtal, who are investigating suspected grievous bodily harm, are asking for information from witnesses.
