
The first penny market in the Fulda district officially opened on Thursday morning. The market operators are satisfied; some people have already come to Dipperz.
Dipperz – A few customers had already gathered in the Dipperz commercial area on Bundesstrasse 458 in the morning. “We have received very positive feedback so far. People were and are all satisfied,” emphasized district manager Detlef Müller.
At the entrance to the new penny market There were some balloons in red and white colors, and as a welcome there was also free popcorn for everyone in the market. “We hope for a certain level of acceptance from everyone involved. The market should become a meeting place for the community,” said Müller.

Branch manager Markus Kießling was also satisfied with the first hours after the opening. “The kindergarten children were there early in the morning and we only received positive feedback.” He is particularly pleased with the good location on the main road and near the motorway. “Everyone sees us here, there’s a lot of through traffic,” said Kießling. The new branch was blessed on Wednesday evening.
It had in the past There have been discussions as to whether a net market should open in place of the penny in Dipperz. However, the Kassel regional council vetoed it at the time, which is why there is now a penny instead of the net amount.
A Penny branch is also set to open in Fulda. This will move into the former Staples on Frankfurter Strasse. According to district manager Müller, the opening can probably be expected this year. “I can't say anything more precise. But it should be in the summer or autumn,” he ventured a possible forecast.
