Anna-Carina Woitschack is back at Let's Dance with full power. She's been a bit under the weather over the past few days, but now she's looking forward to the moment just before the performance when it's time to say: Let's Dance! At RTL.de the singer talks about the magic of the show and how her sick father is doing.

Shortly before her next appearance, Woitschack enthuses in an RTL.de interview: “It's just magic about this show. We all have one goal on Fridays, which is to deliver a great performance and do it all outside of our comfort zone.” The artist also describes the myth of the popular RTL dance show.

“I have goosebumps from the first to the last minute of every dance. And I think that's very rare for me. This show simply captivates me,” says the singer, who dances with Evgeny Vinokurov. Anna-Carina is no longer afraid of the jury verdict. Her favorite jury member is “Motsi”. Although she has respect for Joachim Llambi, she now thinks to herself: “So in the 90 seconds I'm actually not just thinking about the dance and the choreo with my dance partner. Not about the fact that I hope Mr. Llambi will like me. Which would be nice, but there's also the audience.”

This always reminds her of her DSDS time, where there was also a jury and audience vote. There was also a well-known lucky charm, namely Anna-Carina's “big, strong dad, who always stood there like a bear, like a rock in the surf.” But dad Wendolin had to spend four weeks in the hospital in 2025. Although the singer is on the road around 250 days a year, as she says, she visited him in the hospital almost every day.

The trained puppeteer Wendolin was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in the summer of 2024 and was treated with chemotherapy until the beginning of 2025. But shortly afterwards a tumor was found in the 81-year-old's neck, which is inoperable. The family then decided to undergo further chemotherapy. The cancer cannot be cured, but in the best case it can at least be contained. So it was an emotional moment when her father saw her perform in Düsseldorf. You can see that in the video above.

Anna-Carina reveals to RTL.de: “My father wanted to come and watch my first two shows here. But thank God he was resting at home. Now I'm happy that he's traveling the 600 kilometers with my mother.” She describes how he is doing: “He's still getting chemotherapy and antibody therapy, so he's still a bit weakened, but my parents will definitely give me strength. I'm really looking forward to that, because they're my two lucky charms.”
