Singer Pietro Lombardi and influencer Laura Maria Rypa are officially separated. Nevertheless, they are both currently on vacation in Mauritius with their three-year-old son Leano, while their second son Amelio is with grandma and grandpa. If that alone wasn't reason for speculation about a possible love comeback, the ex-partners would also cause whispers themselves with snapshots on Instagram. Because Lombardi and Rypa appear extremely familiar and intimate in the vacation photos.

This also irritates Lombardi's good friend Oliver Pocher. Especially since the former “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” juror doesn’t make it back from vacation on time to record the current episode of the joint podcast “The Pochers! Freshly Recycled.” Lombardi has to be connected via video call and excuses his absence by saying that Rypa had “extended his stay in Mauritius by three days as a surprise”. Reason for Pocher to question his good friend about his relationship status. In his opinion, the Mauritius photos “look like a honeymoon” – and in no way a separation.

However, Lombardi firmly rejects such speculation. During the video call he shows a side room with a folding bed and asserts: “There are also days when I sleep over there.” Where else he sleeps – for example in a double bed with Rypa – is not fully clarified by this statement.

“We're just having a good time here. We said we wouldn't worry about it anymore. We get along really well. We have a lot of fun. We experience a lot”the musician raves about his time in Mauritius with his ex. And that is also evident in the Instagram photos that both share with their followers.

Mauritius dream vacation just the beginning?

Lombardi used to always avoid long-distance trips with children, he explains, because he thought to himself: “Do you really have a vacation?” Now he has tried it “for the first time” and is completely thrilled: “I regret it so much that I never did it like you, Olli.” After all, his sons with Rypa should also “experience a lot”.

The only reason why one-year-old Amelio is not there is because the flight to Mauritius was too long at 13 hours. “That might be a bit too much for the little one’s first flight,” says Lombardi, explaining the decision. That's why he was staying with his grandparents.

In an earlier episode of the podcast with Pocher, Lombardi had already stated that he still had feelings for Rypa. “If you asked me now: 'Do you still love that woman?' Yes. Are we together? No. Shall we go on vacation together? Yes.” He also referred to another trip with his ex-fiancée to Dubai in January. “I say openly and honestly, I still love Laura. But we're just not together,” says Lombardi.

Even before the supposedly final separation, the couple had had to deal with several relationship crises and separated several times, only to get back together again.
