Hessentag in Fulda: Information about arrival, parking and shuttle buses
Accordingly, the RE50 offers additional trips between Fulda and Bad Hersfeld in the afternoon. The RB5 runs every hour all day; In the afternoon, together with the RE50, this results in an offer of two trains per hour. RMV and NVV recommend groups from Hünfeld and Bad Hersfeld to use the RE50.
Late train connections will also be set up for concert guests in the Domplatz Arena. According to the transport associations, the RB5 starts at 12:28 a.m. from Fulda via Bebra to Kassel, the RE50 leaves at 12:50 a.m. from Fulda to Bebra. The RB45 trains run between Fulda and Alsfeld almost every half hour, the RB52 runs every hour until the end of the events. In the RMV area, additional RE50 trains are planned between Waechtersbach and Fulda with stops at all stations.

Bus traffic has also increased massively during Hessentag. According to the city of Fulda and RhönEnergie, more than 1,000 additional trips will be offered; this also includes the communities of Petersberg, Künzell and Neuhof. City bus lines 1 to 8 and 15 run every 30 minutes until 7 p.m., then every hour until around 12:30 a.m. Depending on the line, the last departures are between 11:50 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Line 16 will stop operating at 8 p.m., the affected destinations will remain accessible via other lines or shuttles.

Anyone traveling by car is well advised not to look for the route in the immediate vicinity of Hessentagsstrasse. As with the State Garden Show 2023, the city of Fulda is also relying on a decentralized parking concept for Hessentag. The parking spaces on the outskirts will be connected to the city center with four shuttle bus lines over the ten days from June 12th to 21st. Line D runs between the city palace and the Lehnerz industrial area (P4). However, only when P4 is open. According to RhönEnergie, visitors will first be directed to the other parking spaces. According to the city administration, the shuttle buses run every 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the time of day, traffic volume and other factors. The shuttle cannot only be used by external visitors to the Hessentag. Fulda residents can also take the buses for free.
