A burning car in Alsfeld threatened to spread to buildings. Thanks to the fire department, the vehicle was a total loss.
Alsfeld – On Saturday (March 7th) at around 5:08 p.m., the fire department from the control center in the Vogelsberg district was alerted to Alsfeld-Eifa on Aulastraße under the keyword “F2 – Fire in/on the building”. When firefighters arrived, a car parked in front of a house and a barn was fully engulfed in flames.
Only the rapid intervention of the fire department with a team wearing breathing apparatus prevented the flames from spreading to the buildings. Luckily no one was injured. The buildings were examined for embers using a thermal imaging camera. The car was a total economic loss.
The Alsfeld city fire department, the Mitte fire department and the Eifa fire department, the rescue service and a patrol from the Alsfeld police were on site. Two days earlier had A devastating fire in Neuberg in the Main-Kinzig district left a building in danger of collapsing. There was damage of up to half a million euros in the meat wholesale trade and kebab production.
