On Women's Day, Elvis gospels will be heard in Fulda. The blessing service in the Holy Spirit Church on March 8th is intended to provide space for hope and community.
Fulda – On Sunday (March 8th), the Fulda city parish and the DRK Heilig Geist senior center invite you to a special musical blessing service in the Holy Spirit Church in Fulda. This event is entitled “Peace in the Valley – Amazing Grace,” said the Diocese of Fulda
After the great success of the Christmas concert with Elvis interpreter Christian Gutsch in the Severikirchewhere many interested people were unable to gain entry due to limited space, there is now the opportunity to recreate this special experience in a larger church and on a different occasion.
Elvis Gospel in Fulda: Invitation to music devotion on Women's Day
The Holy Spirit Church at Löherstrasse 1 offers enough space so that everyone who is interested, especially those who were unable to attend Christmas, is welcome. The focus of the event is the moving gospel sounds of Elvis Presley, interpreted by Christian Gutsch from Berlin, accompanied by Divine Concern & Friends.
These musical performances are embedded in a blessing devotion dedicated to praying for peace. “In a time of global tension, this afternoon should send a signal of hope, solidarity and the common desire for peace,” explains the diocese.

The musical events in the “Music, Hope and Blessing” series, which usually take place twice a month on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Severikirche, are part of the projects “Elvis in the Nursing Home” and “Wisdom in Old Age” in the Diocese of Fulda. These initiatives promote cultural participation, encounters and spiritual strengthening of older people.
The blessing prayers are organized by Deacon Dr. mult. Meins GS Coetsier and the musicians from Divine Concern, who have been committed to innovative forms of diaconal pastoral care for many years and have had a significant influence on the projects mentioned.
Admission to the musical blessing service is free
“Visitors can look forward to an atmosphere that combines music, spirituality, prayer for peace and social responsibility – an inspiring moment of calm and appreciation on International Women’s Day,” the diocese added.
The Fulda Women's Week offers an exciting program from March 6th. Admission for the musical blessing begins at 3:30 p.m. and the event starts at 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations to support the services are welcome.
The diocese also provides information about further musical devotions in March in Fulda's Severikirche. Under the title “The distance is near, peace is far?” These will take place with Divine Concern & Friends on March 10th at 7:30 p.m. (Axel & Anja Kühn) and on March 24th at 7:30 p.m. (Daniela Röll-Diegelmann).
