Now “Let's Dance” is turning the professionals into stars!
The final confetti is barely on the floor when the dancing starts again! On Friday, June 5, 2026, the “Pro Challenge” will take place after the grand finale. This time the professional dancers get the big stage all to themselves.
Three rounds, 21 dances! This is on the dance program
This year, constellations who have never danced together like this before are dancing in the “Professional Challenge”. So look forward to completely new pairings! The couples also faced a special task: they were each given a dance style and a motto for their first freestyle of the show.
First round:

Vica Sauerwald and Valentin Lusin dance a slow fox to the motto 2000s and the songs “New York New York” by Frank Sinatra, “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z ft. Alicia Keys and “Lose Yourself” by Eminem

Kathrin Menzinger and Paul Lorenz dance a Viennese waltz to the theme musical and the songs “Point of no Return”, “Phantom of the Opera” and “All I Ask of You” from “Phantom of the Opera”

Ekaterina Leonova and Mika Tatarkin dance a quickstep to the motto One hit wonder and the songs “What is Love” by Haddaway, “The Ketchup Song” by Las Ketchup, “Don't Worry Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin and “Crazy Frog” by Axel F

Anastasia Maruster and Vadim Garbuzov dance a tango to the theme horror and the song “Bury a Friend” by Billie Eilish
In addition to the established dance styles, the professionals will also incorporate other dance styles into their choreo.
Second round:
In the second round, all nine couples perform again, but this time all to the same song. This means the performances are directly comparable with each other!
Third round:
After an interim decision, the three couples with the most audience votes dance in an “Instant Impro Dance”. They draw a lottery ball that gives them a dance fusion of two styles. And just a few seconds later the performance begins!

What can the “Pro Challenge” winners win?
The winning couple can not only be happy about the sparkling professional trophy. Part of the victory is that the professionals have the honor of choreographing the opening of the introductory show for the next “Let’s Dance” season. In addition, if they take part in “Let's Dance” in 2027, they will receive a bonus ranking point that they can redeem together with their celebrity up to the fourth show.
