
Michael Winter wants to become mayor of Dipperz. The 44-year-old is running as an independent candidate and relies on transparency and digitalization.
Dipperz – In the municipality of Dipperz, the first applicant for the mayoral election has announced his candidacy. The 44-year-old Michael Winter wants to succeed Klaus-Dieter Vogler (independent), who is no longer running after many years in office. On November 15th, citizens in the Rhön community are called to vote.

“I worked intensively on running for office in Dipperz and received a lot of support from those around me and also from my circle of friends and acquaintances in Dipperz,” says Winter. According to a press release announcing his candidacy, the administrative specialist has extensive experience as a municipal employee in the financial sector and in local politics.
He currently works in a managerial position at the municipality of Petersberg; he previously worked as a manager as a treasurer at the municipality of Flieden. He is also a certified “municipal accountant”. Winter knows first-hand the processes, challenges and financial conditions of a municipality, he adds.
The divorced father of two children has lived in neighboring Dirlos for many years and sits on the Künzell municipal council for the CWE. Winter doesn't see the fact that he doesn't live in Dipperz as an obstacle: “The view from the outside can often be an advantage.” He is also known for his voluntary work – he has been active as an official and trainer at the Dipperz/Dirlos football team for years. “Many friendships have been formed here. And in numerous conversations I was encouraged to apply for the mayor's office,” reports the candidate.
Winter relies on transparency, club support and digitalization
In terms of content, Winter wants to focus on transparency, club support and digitalization. “The clubs in Dipperz and the districts in particular are an essential part of social life and deserve reliable support and good conditions for their voluntary work,” he emphasizes. Modernizing the administration is also important to him: “It is important to me that we move the administration forward in terms of digitalization in order to make administrative processes as pleasant as possible for citizens.”
With his combination of administrative experience, local political commitment and leadership experience, the 44-year-old sees himself well prepared: “I would like to take on responsibility and work with the people to further develop the community of Dipperz in a modern, transparent and future-proof manner.”
Just recently also Marcel Kister announced that he would like to become mayor of Kalbach. Supported by the CDU, he opposes it his boss, incumbent Mark Bagusand against the third candidate Marco Schlender to.
