“Roman was still at the very beginning of his life.”
With these words begins a GoFundMe appeal that is currently touching many people. The 20-year-old died in a tragic accident at the Zugspitze on Friday (May 22nd).
In the appeal for donations, friends and relatives describe Roman as a young man full of plans and dreams. He had only recently successfully completed his Abitur. He wanted to start his training soon. “He was a cheerful, sporty and warm-hearted young person who loved nature and spent every free minute outside,” the appeal continues.
The mountains in particular meant a lot to Roman. He found “peace, freedom and happiness” while hiking. His sudden death leaves an “incomprehensible void” among family and friends.
With the campaign, friends want to at least alleviate the family's financial worries. In addition to the grief, there are obviously high costs for the relatives. According to the appeal, in addition to the funeral costs, there are also rescue and repatriation costs.
Roman's mother is currently still in training, while his father looks after his two-year-old little brother. “Let’s show together that Roman’s family is not alone during this difficult time,” write the initiators of the fundraising campaign. (yeah)
