It's important to convert that into positive energy on the pitch,” says Cimen, who wants his team to show a courageous performance against the defending champions: “That's important when you're not the favorite. We have to bring our best performance onto the pitch. Paired with courage, there's always a chance, the past has shown us that many times.”
In addition to Luis Klein, goalkeeper Justin Duda will also be missing from SG Barockstadt, who will miss the game due to illness. “The game is very important. The club realized what it means to be in the DFB Cup and to have a big game against Bayern Munich,” says Scherning.
