Be careful, mold poison!
Rossmann urgently warns against eating a popular snack. A substance that can be carcinogenic has been detected in some packages. The product could also end up in children's hands.
Rossmann is recalling a popular product that should under no circumstances be eaten. The reason sounds alarming: checks revealed that the level of aflatoxin B1 was too high. The mold toxin can have a particularly carcinogenic effect if consumed regularly.
Affected are “enerBiO Corn Waffles Salted Caramel” with the EAN 4068134162755. Anyone who has bought the variety should look closely at the best-before date. According to Rossmann it's about this best before date information:
The date is on the back of the pack below the barcode.
Rossmann asks customers to stop eating affected packs and to immediately keep them out of the reach of children.
Anyone who has one of the affected packs at home can return it to a Rossmann branch. The drugstore chain will refund the purchase price even without a receipt. Further information is available from customer service on 0800 76 77 62 66.
