
A scooter driver had an accident in the Main-Kinzig district on Sunday. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Waechtersbach/Bad Orb – The driver of a motor scooter left the road on district road 887 between Aufenau and Bad Orb shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and was seriously injured. A police spokesman called the injuries life-threatening on Sunday evening.

According to law enforcement officials, the 43-year-old scooter driver from Bad Orb left the road for reasons that are still unclear and ended up in a ditch, where he lay unconscious. According to investigators' findings so far, there is no evidence of foul play.
The road was closed and the accident victim was subsequently flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter. The accident recording was completed around 7:45 p.m. The road was then reopened to traffic. (hgs)
