
With strong performances, both the U12 and U14 water polo players from Wasserfreunde Fulda qualified for the German Championships in both age groups.
Fulda – In the U14 group (born 2012 and younger), the young water enthusiasts showed a strong fighting performance in the preliminary round tournament in the local sports pool and in the final tournament in Nuremberg and thus qualified for the round of the last twelve of the German championship. This will take place on Saturday (May 9th) and Sunday (May 10th) in Berlin. The young team led by captain David Alexandrianu meets the Bundesliga youngsters of the German record champions Spandau 04, SC Hellas Hildesheim and SV Krefeld 72.
Young water polo players from Fulda compete with Germany's best
The youth water polo players in the U12 category (born 2014 and younger) also confidently qualified for the national round of the 16 best teams in Germany at the southern German tournaments in Munich and Fulda. This will take place on the 16th/17th. May in Duisburg. Here too, the youngsters meet top-class players: In addition to ASC Duisburg, they also face Spandau and Erfurt.

Coach Tarek Bary is extremely satisfied with reaching the national level: “We have a very young team in both age groups and have predominantly younger players in both teams. Qualification is a reward for the hard work of the last few weeks and playing in a tournament like this is the highlight of the season for everyone.”
However, the third division water polo players from Wasserfreunde Fulda have a complicated season ahead of them. But they are looking forward positively.
