With lectures, workshops and numerous exhibitors, the “Frauending” trade fair in Großenlüder is entering its second round on Saturday.
Großenlüder – The “Frauending” trade fair wants to bring women from the region together for the second time on Saturday, May 9th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Lüderhaus in Großenlüder. “The four of us founded the event last year because we noticed how many women in the region offer their own services or products,” says Nadine Krönung. Along with Lena Bickert, Kathrin Weismüller and Ann-Katrin Dietrich, she is part of the four-person founding team of the “Frauending” trade fair.
The main aim of the event is to strengthen the networking of women in the region, to give them a day of time out and new impulses for everyday life. “For us, it’s about the community, about female power and also about social commitment,” says Krönung. “The idea is not to just take a quick stroll through the trade fair, but rather to consciously take the day off with your best friend or mother.”
An all-day program attracts women to the Lüderhaus on Saturday
The all-day program of lectures and workshops ranges from meditations to lectures on high sensitivity and cycle knowledge to a yoga and hypnosis lesson. Visitors can also get drinks and food on site – an aspect with which the organizers want to create a pleasant feel-good atmosphere.
In addition, around 60 female exhibitors are represented at “Frauending” this year – around 20 more than last year. The team responded to the great interest in the event: “We started the application round for exhibitors in September and received around 150 applications very quickly.” Some of the exhibitors from last year are represented again.
The response from visitors was also positive. “Last year we had a group hypnosis as the last point in the program – just like this year,” remembers Krönung. “Unfortunately, the four of us couldn’t take part because we were involved in the organization, but when the hypnosis was over, a lot of people came out incredibly emotionally affected.” This year, Krönung and its co-organizers are particularly looking forward to the “Facereading” program item. “We are very excited about this because our faces will be read live.” Overall, the program and stands revolve around the overarching themes of mindfulness, health, nutrition, personality and family. The Women's Week in Fulda also offered a colorful program for women in February.
Organizers find each other by chance
The four organizers were not friends before “Frauending” was created. “The four of us are in our mid-30s and had our children at the same age,” explains Krönung. They found each other through this shared period of life and through coincidences. “For example, Lena and I met through our birth preparation course.” The first ideas for the joint project emerged quickly – after around a year of planning, the trade fair celebrated its premiere in Großenlüder last May. The organizers chose the Lüderhaus as the venue because an open, bright space is important to them. In addition, Bickert and Weismüller themselves come from the community.
Visitors pay a 6 euro entry fee on site. All lectures and workshops can then be attended free of charge. “We don’t want to make a profit,” emphasizes Krönung. The income was primarily used to finance the event, such as the rental costs for the Lüderhaus. The organizers donate any surplus to the birth center. In addition, proceeds from a raffle and a picture that visitors create together on site also benefit the facility.
