Fulda – The largest and best-known company run in the Fulda region – the RhönEnergie Challenge – is celebrating its anniversary: For the 20th time, runners and walkers will make their way through Fulda city center on Saturday, May 9th. Road users must therefore prepare for extensive road closures and restrictions on bus traffic.
The city announces that there will be disruptions in the city center area on Saturday between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. In the starting area on Von‑Schildeck‑Strasse between Rangstrasse and Frankfurter Strasse, traffic will be restricted between 2:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. This area should be avoided extensively during this period.
Challenge run causes closures and traffic restrictions

Despite the closures, the “Freibad Rosenau” car park remains accessible, according to the city: it can be approached via Bardostraße and left at any time in the direction of Bardostraße. Access to the “Stadion” car park, however, is only possible via Neuenberger Straße or Schirrmannstraße.
For safety reasons, there will be an absolute ban on stopping on Kapuzinerstrasse on Saturday. According to the city of Fulda, this also expressly applies to bicycles, motorcycles and scooters parked there on the parking lanes and sidewalks. Anyone who ignores the ban will have to pay for towing.
