It is causing particularly great interest online in the run-up to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Around a week before the Eurovision Song Contest, the German entry is at the top of global search interest: According to Google, “Fire” by Sarah Engels is the most searched ESC song in the past 30 days.

Sarah Engels' According to Google data from the past 30 days, hit “Fire” is the most searched ESC song worldwide. This puts the German title ahead of “Regarde!” from France, “Per Semper Sì” from Italy, “Pray” from Poland and the Australian contribution “Eclipse”. Within Germany, however, search interest is primarily directed at contributions from other countries. The most frequently googled in this country was “Liekinheitin” from Finland, followed by “Bangaranga” from Bulgaria, “Andromeda” from Croatia, “Tanzschein” from Austria and “Eins, Zwei, Drei” from Great Britain.

Outside Germany, searches for Sarah Engels and her song “Fire” in the past 30 days came primarily from Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Greece and Sweden. Google is currently recording the greatest ESC interest overall in Greece: in the weekly evaluation, the country is ahead of Finland and Austria. Germany only follows in 23rd place in this category.
