Show me your muscles!
Renata Lusin (38) openly takes her community with her in her recovery after baby number two. Three weeks after giving birth, the “Let's Dance” professional dancer shows her stomach and makes it clear why she is now deliberately starting slowly. But it's also okay to celebrate small successes.

Shortly after the birth of her second daughter stands Renata Lusin back in the gym. Not to put yourself under pressure. Not to immediately sprint back into old routines. But to gently support your body. The “Let’s Dance” professional dancer now gives an honest after-baby body update in her Instagram story. “I’m slowly seeing my muscles”says Renata, visibly happy and showing her first successes.

In the video, however, she makes it clear that this is not the start of hard training. “I'm not really training my muscles yet. But we're starting slowly now. But everything little by little.”

As openly as the 38-year-old shows her progress, she also clearly curbs possible expectations. Three weeks after giving birth, it's not about getting back to looking like you did before as quickly as possible. The dancer emphasizes exactly this point again and again. Your body is allowed time. She sets her own pace. Nevertheless, Renata notices that something is changing. “I’m slowly feeling better and better”she says in her story. Because after giving birth, it's not just what you see in the mirror that counts. It's also about getting back into your own body step by step.

Renata also doesn't go without food when it comes to food. “Nutritionally, I eat everything. I never go on a diet or anything like that”she clarifies. As a professional dancer, exercise is a big part of her life anyway. She stayed fit during her pregnancy. Still, that doesn't mean she'll just carry on seamlessly like before.

In an earlier post, Renata explained why regression means something different to classic training for her. After an uncomplicated vaginal birth, you can often start early. But it is important to classify the term correctly. In the first phase, regression does not mean demanding the body again straight away.
There is one thought that applies above all to Renata Lusin's after-baby body. Starting early doesn't mean going full throttle. The professional dancer wants to support her body in its regeneration and not work against it. The decisive factors are your own energy level, possible complaints and the course of the birth. And as Renata says: everything little by little. Just the way it feels right for new moms.
