Anna-Maria Ferchichi: lightning divorce from ex-husband – and lightning wedding with Bushido!

At that time I had to Anna Maria Ferchichi (44) and Bushido (47) everything happens quickly. As they both say in their podcast “In Bed with Anna-Maria and Anis Ferchichi”, Anna-Maria was pregnant with daughter Aaliyah, but still married to her ex-husband. So first a quick divorce had to be arranged and then the wedding with Bushido had to be organized in no time. The planned small celebration still turned into around 120 guests.

Because Bushido was on tour, a large part of the planning was left to Anna-Maria. At least he was involved in the invitation. Anna-Maria still finds the motif sweet today: a man on a ladder bringing the stars from the sky for his wife. But there was one thing neither of them thought about when it came to the wedding card.

A few days later, a friend contacted me with some pretty unpleasant news. The postman only handed over the letter if the missing money was paid directly. In plain language, this means that the guests had to pay extra when receiving the wedding invitation.

For Anna-Maria it was a real horror moment. In the podcast she says that she was pregnant and sat in the car with a big belly and cried. It was just terribly unpleasant for her to be in front of the guests. Bushido sums up the chaos dryly: The cards were under-franked.

Later it becomes clear why things went wrong in the first place. The cards had an unusual format. Anna-Maria remembers that she specifically asked the post office. She was told there that the postage of 1.10 euros was enough. A mistake.

Particularly bitter: Apparently the mishap affected not just a few, but practically the entire guest list. Anna-Maria says that in the end everyone had to pay an additional 70 cents or even one euro if they even wanted the letter. No wonder Bushido now says with a laugh that the campaign almost cost him his wedding night.
