The discounter Norma is currently recalling various spice mills. “Further use is not recommended,” it says. There is a health risk due to possible foreign bodies.
“The manufacturer Raimund Hofmann informs about the recall of various Cook! spice mills offered through Norma branches with all best before dates and batch numbers,” it says in the recall. “As the company reports, it cannot be ruled out that the grinding ring breaks and the plastic pieces end up in the food.”
The result: “Further use is not recommended!” Various spice mills in different types and sizes are affected – regardless of the best-before date or the batch number. “Metallic foreign bodies, shards or splinters of glass, wood and plastic splinters can cause serious injuries to the mouth and throat, as well as internal injuries or bleeding,” the warning says. “Consumers who own one of the affected items should NOT use affected products and return them to retailers.”
Customers can return affected products to any branch – even without a receipt – “and will of course receive a refund of the purchase price,” the recall continues. (yeah)
