Exactly two years ago her world stood still!
The past time was anything but easy for Heinz Hoenig and his wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig. Exactly two years ago, the actor was flown by helicopter to a Berlin clinic, was in a coma and had to undergo multiple operations.
Since then, Heinz has been fighting for survival. The past two years have left their mark. With the whole family. The couple now explains this openly and in tears on Instagram. “That traumatized you a bit,” says the 41-year-old. “This will never let us go again.”
“Two years ago today the world stood still for a moment.” Heart problems, an aortic prosthesis, coma and a hole in the esophagus! “It was a day like today, not a cloud in the sky. Such a beautiful spring day.” And yet everything changed for the Hoenig family! The 74-year-old then spent a full 143 days in the hospital. Always at his side: his wife Annika and their two sons. “I thought I had to say goodbye to you now,” Annika confesses through tears. But fortunately the former jungle camp participant is now back on the right track.
“We can only look forward,” said Annika Kärsten-Hoenig through tears. But the feelings are coming back right now. Especially on days like this, she is happy that Heinz is still there and that they can spend time together. “We’ll make the best of it.”
Heinz is also happy that his Annika “made it through time”. “You saved me,” he tells his wife in the emotional video. Because the mother of their sons was always there for him during the difficult times. And that's why now – after April 30, 2024 and the difficult time afterwards – they want to enjoy their time as a family even more. (yeah)
