Fulda is once again awarding the prize for diversity and participation. We are looking for initiatives that strengthen children, young people and parents against exclusion.

Fulda – This year the city of Fulda is once again offering the Prize for Diversity and Participation. Under the motto “Less exclusion. More WE. Right from the start!” We are looking for projects and initiatives that empower children, young people and parents against exclusion, as the city of Fulda reports.

Rejection, bullying or social isolation can leave deep marks, especially on young people. But parents are also often faced with the challenge of dealing with such situations. This is exactly where this year's prize comes in: The city of Fulda would like to honor commitment that raises awareness, strengthens and conveys confidence in action.

Individuals, groups and organizations that promote respectful and inclusive coexistence among children and young people can apply. It doesn’t matter whether the projects are still ongoing or have already been completed. Third parties are also allowed to submit suggestions.

With the award, the city wants to send a clear signal for more cohesion – for an urban society in which everyone belongs from the start. In 2025, the topic of mental health was the focus of the award. First place went to the Catholic Women's Social Service for the voluntary leisure group “Frauenzeit”.

Applications and suggestions can be submitted online via the city of Fulda website until August 21, 2026. All information and the link to the online application are available at fulda.de/city-politics/diversity-participation to find. If you have any questions, please contact the City of Fulda's Diversity and Participation Department by telephone on (0661) 1021196 or by email variety@fulda.de available. The award ceremony for the award winners is planned for November 17, 2026.
