Silent Reading is a new trend that aims to promote silent reading in a relaxed community. The aim is to increase the enjoyment of reading. The book lovers sat together in the library's comfortable armchairs and were not distracted by conversations, cell phones or music.
“All that could be heard was the rustling of the pages when they were turned,” says a statement from the city of Hünfeld. Meanwhile, online lending is booming in Germany. Libraries in seven communities in the Fulda district are now joining. It started with the library in your pocket, which can be used free of charge.
