Christian Lindner is about to take the next step in his career: The former finance minister is set to become CEO of Autoland AG next year. The handover is already underway, says founder Wilhelm Anclam.
The former Federal Finance Minister and FDP leader Christian Lindner is to become CEO of the automobile trading group Autoland AG next year. “The company must be in the hands of management. And the first management leader is Mr. Lindner. He will become the CEO,” said company founder Wilfried Wilhelm Anclam in a podcast from the industry magazine Autohaus.
Both were “already in the middle of the handover,” said Anclam, who was interviewed together with Lindner. At the time, he said, “That will happen within the next year.”
At the beginning of the year, Lindner joined the company as head of sales. The CEO and owner Anclam praised the collaboration with the 47-year-old. The entire sales structures are already here. Anclam announced that he would continue to work for his company. He wants to be involved in the crucial areas.
According to its own information, Autoland AG is the largest brand-independent automobile trading group in Germany. The company headquarters is in Sandersdorf-Brehna in Saxony-Anhalt. The company sells new and used cars of all brands at 37 locations and online.
According to its recently published annual financial statements, it achieved an operating profit of almost 100 million euros last year with sales of over one billion euros. This year we are aiming for further growth to 1.2 billion euros in sales and 68,000 vehicles sold.
