
A 22-year-old motorcyclist had a fatal accident on the B276 near Schotten in the Vogelsberg district. The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
Schotten – On Thursday evening (April 24th) a serious traffic accident occurred on the B276 federal highway near Schotten in the Vogelsberg district at around 6 p.m. A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Frankfurt died from his serious injuries, according to the East Hesse police headquarters Fulda informed about the accident.
22-year-old motorcyclist has a fatal accident
According to the investigators' initial findings, the motorcyclist was traveling from Gedern towards Schotten-Eschenrod. He then lost control of his motorcycle in a right-hand bend, veered off the road to the left and collided violently with the guardrail. The injuries sustained led to his death.
An expert was called in to accurately reconstruct the accident. The Lauterbach police station documented the accident. The police estimate the material damage caused to be at least 6,000 euros. Six days earlier, a 24-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident in Steinau an der Straße.
