
The construction work in Schlüchtern is being extended. Obertorstrasse remains closed. Road users still have to prepare for detours.
Schlüchtern – The road construction work on Obertorstrasse in Schlüchtern will be extended. The city administration in Schlüchtern announced on Tuesday (April 21st) that the construction project, which was originally scheduled to expire on April 22nd, will now have to be continued up to and including Wednesday (May 6th).
Construction work on Obertorstrasse in Schlüchten is taking longer
The construction work in the Obertorstrasse 16 section up to the junction with Grabenstrasse continues. The existing traffic restrictions remain in place. In particular, it is still not possible to drive through Obertorstrasse through Schmiedsgasse and Linsengasse.
From Monday (April 27th) a second construction phase is scheduled to start in the area of the bending right-of-way on Grabenstrasse. During this period, i.e. until May 6th, the paved area there will be renewed. According to the town hall, a complete closure of the area is necessary to carry out this work.
The bypass of the closed area leads via Weitzelstrasse, Gartenstrasse, Dreibrüderstrasse and Amtberg. The city asks road users and residents to pay attention to the changed traffic routing, to pay increased attention and to understand the extended construction period and the associated disruptions.
