
A taxi is used over 170 kilometers without payment. The perpetrators escaped in Hünfeld, despite a brave witness. The police are investigating.
Hünfeld – On Monday (April 20) around 2 p.m., according to the East Hesse police headquarters, two men ordered a taxi in Bad Windsheim, near Nuremberg in Bavaria. They were driven to Hünfeld, about 170 kilometers away Hesse lies. Their destination was Kreuzbergstrasse in Konrad-Zuse-Stadt.

“The two perpetrators tricked the driver into believing that they still had to get cash and ran away,” reported a police spokesman. “A witness noticed the incident and tried to hold the perpetrator by his shoulder bag.” Nevertheless, the perpetrators escaped and fled towards Bodelschwingstrasse.
According to police, the taxi driver suffered a financial loss of 400 euros. The police describe the two men as follows: The first man is 1.70 meters tall, of strong build and has a full beard. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans and was carrying a shoulder bag without a strap.
The second man is around 1.80 meters tall, of normal build and around 25 years old. He has a short black beard and short hair. The second perpetrator was dressed completely in black and wore sunglasses, according to the police in Fulda. The officers are asking the East Hesse Police Headquarters for information.
