After a welcome from Ulrich Schmitt from the Antonius management, numerous children and adults watched the spectacle with shining eyes. The Franciscan Father Thomas had previously blessed the flock. “If we treat the animals well and in a species-appropriate manner, it will also contribute to a better and more humane world,” he emphasized. Going out into the sun and feeling the sun on their fur is “clearly species-appropriate” for the animals.

Afterwards, a plant and vegetable market invited people to browse, exchange ideas and shop. Employees from the Antonius Hof and the nursery were on hand to provide visitors with expert tips and presented a large selection of herbs, seedlings and fresh vegetables. Many guests took the opportunity to get advice and take home ideas for their own garden or balcony.

The farm team took care of your physical well-being with grilled specialties and homemade cakes. With a cup of coffee or a bratwurst roll, the guests enjoyed the sun and the relaxed atmosphere on the farm; The outdoor seating at the courtyard café was almost completely occupied, according to the statement.

The St. Antonius Foundation was also there. With a plant raffle, she invited people to try their own luck and do good at the same time. Sales also started of the racing ducks for the 2nd Fulda duck racewhich is scheduled to take place as part of Hessentag on Saturday, June 20th and, according to Antonius, promises another family spectacle.

As the foundation announces, the proceeds from the raffle and duck sale will flow into the “together we: grow” project. This will make it Construction of a new organic vegetable garden in Haimbach supported in which jobs are to be created for people with a high level of assistance needs.
