Municipal development concept: Eiterfeld invites you to participate
The public project launch will take place on Thursday (April 30th) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the community center at Marktstrasse 2. The concept doesn't start from scratch; it integrates the experiences from the previous IKEK process as well as the results of the “Delfio Opinion Monitor” from 2024, in which more than 1,000 people took part.
All interested parties as well as representatives from associations, business, ownership and other areas are invited to find out more and get involved. The municipality commissioned the Dortmund planning office Stadt + Handel for the installation and conception. In the coming months, the office will carry out a comprehensive inventory analysis, identify the strengths and needs for action and formulate concrete measures for future village development.
The focus is on topics such as strengthening internal development, preserving the village character and cultural and historical heritage, and securing public services. The aim is to respond to current demographic challenges and at the same time to take advantage of opportunities for lively, attractive and sustainable town centers.
The opening event would provide initial insights into the process, the project goals and central issues that are currently affecting Eiterfeld and its districts. In addition, the event offers various dialogue and participation options: At interactive stations, visitors can bring their ideas, tips and wishes into the process right from the start.
For Mayor Dana Hauke (CDU), “the participation of citizens is a crucial part of the process and of future municipal and civic engagement.” Only together can a village development be designed that meets the needs of the local people and keeps the market town attractive in the long term.
