Former state parliament member: Markus Meysner celebrates his 60th birthday
Until June 30, 2001, he was head of the public order office in the municipality of Petersberg. He then became mayor of the Rhön town of Tann. He held this position for twelve years – until 2013. But that's not all: from 2014 to 2022 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. Among other things, he worked on the committee for the environment, climate protection, agriculture and consumer protection.
But he also served on the committee for economics, energy, transport and housing, on the correctional subcommittee, on the operating committee of the state company “Hessen-Forst” and on the board of trustees of the Hessian Fire Brigade Foundation. He was also spokesman for forestry and hunting, for tourism policy and for transport policy and, from 2021, chairman of the study commission “Mobility of the Future in Hesse 2030”.
He became a member of the CDU as early as 1996. Between 2018 and 2022 he was chairman of the CDU district association. On June 30, 2022, he resigned from his state parliament mandate. Community and club life are very important to Meysner. He is a member of the Petersberg and Tann volunteer fire departments. He has been a member of the Petersberg Carnival Association (CVP) since the early 1980s.
In 2001 he led the crowd of fools as the jubilee prince Markus L. of office and dignity. He also served as an adjutant for the Petersberg Tollities twice. He was also a permanent member of the CVP meeting presidents. He has been a member of the Fulda-Bonifatius Lions Club since 2019, of which he served as president in 2022.
The (un)retired pensioner has been working as a motorhome and caravan consultant in Fulda since 2025 in his limited free time. Family, friends, party members, carnivalists and numerous acquaintances congratulate him on his special day.
