The big Bierkönig opening starts on April 16th at Ballermann. Until then, the question is still hot behind the scenes as to which party store, from Megapark to Bierkönig, can still secure which artist for the season. RTL is now exclusively reporting the next change!
Ballermann opening is mid-April
After eleven seasons at the Bierkönig, Sabbotage (real name David Sobotta) has decided, certainly to the surprise of many, to move from the Bierkönig to the MK Arena on Bierstrasse. The boy who loved the Beer King so much and the Beer King him leaves the promised party location.
Sabotage was actually a child of the beer king and always had a full house. Now he's moving on.

The “Beer Police” singer's reasoning to RTL: “I simply felt how much the MK Arena wanted me. Those responsible went to extreme lengths in all respects in order to catch up with another offer. But also because I like the intended role as “THE headliner” as well as the fresh concept that seems to me to be a little more relaxed than in one or other competing store. In the end, hearts and heads came together to make this decision.”

Another reason for the artist was: “When it came to the design of the appointment calendar, they were extremely accommodating to me and tried to fulfill my every wish wherever possible!” Eleven years as the Beer King – that was a period of life full of emotions and many unforgettable moments for Sabbotage. “I'm extremely grateful for that. However, changes behind the scenes over the last year have made me decide to take a different path,” the Malle singer told RTL.
That's why he now wants to look to the future at the start of the season and the fans can actually look forward to more appearances. “A new chapter, a new living room – and even more escalation. One thing is fact: we will see each other more often on the Playa this year than ever before! For me, this step is clearly not a step backwards. I am convinced that we will celebrate the cult of the real ballerman together in its most original form,” he says in the RTL.de interview.

So from April 16th there will be “sabotage” more often than ever before, as his fans like to say. And his new boss, Gerlinde Weininger, operator of the MK Arena, also said on RTL: “With Sabotage we were able to get exactly the artist we were missing for our line-up. We are all hugely excited about the coup and we are looking forward to finally getting started together.”
