
The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued an official warning of squalls for the Fulda district at altitudes over 800 meters.
Fulda – The official warning of squalls for the Fulda district for altitudes over 800 meters is valid from Friday (April 3rd), 11 p.m., until Saturday (April 4th), 8 a.m., the German Weather Service announced. There is a risk of squalls of level 2 out of 4 occurring.
Danger at high altitudes: squalls warning for Fulda
Danger could arise from individual falling branches and flying objects. The DWD recommends securing free-standing objects (e.g. screens and furniture), attaching tents and covers, for example, and paying attention to falling objects (e.g. branches) when outdoors.
At the beginning of the week, storm clouds had moved over eastern Hesse. Meteorologists warned of lightning, hail and flooding. There were warnings of strong thunderstorms for the Main-Kinzig district, the Vogelsberg district and the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district.
