An alliance of several groups has announced protests against the founding of a Hessian state association of the AfD youth organization Generation Deutschland (GD) on Saturday, March 28th.

The organizers want to gather in Fulda for a demonstration at 10 a.m. – and are calling for people to take part. According to its own statements, the alliance includes, among others, the State Foreigners' Advisory Council, the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Hesse, the DGB Hesse-Thuringia and the Hessian regional association of the Education and Science Union. The organizers are expecting a four-digit number of participants.
Around 25,000 people protested against the establishment of the GD at the federal level in Giessen on November 29, 2025 – most of them peacefully. But there were also clashes with the police. (han)
