
In the election for the Vogelsberg district council, the SPD pushed the AfD out of second place compared to Sunday's trend result.
Vogelsbergkreis – The variegated and cumulative votes have now also been counted for the provisional official final result. Similar to in Schlitzerland, the percentages have changed again. As the election winner, the CDU increased its share of the vote by a further two percentage points to 33.28 percent, thereby maintaining its result from 2021.
The SPD remains the second strongest force in the Vogelsberg district council
The SPD is the second strongest force with 20.33 percent, but has lost 4.5 percentage points compared to 2021. Compared to Sunday's trend, the AfD has three percentage points less and is at 19.33 percent. However, it has more than doubled its result from five years ago (8.23 percent).
The Greens also lost ground and ultimately received 7.90 percent. Five years ago it was 9.81 percent. With 2.07 percent, the FDP still managed just over two percent. However, the Liberals are a long way from the 6.24 percent from 2021. The Free Voters have lost votes compared to 2021, when they had 12.24 percent, and now have 10.70 percent. The Left has not reached its 4 percent from five years ago and is at 3.79 percent.
The Independent Vogelsberg Energy and Land Initiative – Heat/Water/Electricity (VELI-WS), the Peaceful Vogelsberg Alliance (BFV) and the Party for Work, the Rule of Law, Animal Protection, Elite Promotion and Grassroots Democratic Initiative (The Party) took part for the first time. The latter came to 1.20 percent. The BFV received 0.73 and the VELI-WS 0.69 percent of the vote. At 62.98 percent, voter turnout was significantly higher than five years ago 48.92 percent voted during the pandemic.
