Spring awakening at Antonius: On March 21st, the large spring market attracts visitors with crafts, puppet theater and a colorful cultural program.
Fulda – Under the motto “Antonius is blooming”, the community foundation “Antonius: Together Human” invites you to the large spring market on the main site (An St. Kathrin 4, Fulda) on Saturday (March 21st) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The focus is on handmade Easter and spring decorations. The market was also held last year – and attracted hundreds of visitors.
The products on offer made of wood, ceramics, textiles and floristry were created in the various areas of work at Antonius. This selection is supplemented by stands from regional partners and a wide range of organic culinary offerings. Guests can also expect the well-stocked book flea market to benefit the St. Antonius Foundation.
Spring market at Antonius in Fulda: decoration, culture and enjoyment
A special event is on the program at 11 a.m.: Under the motto “We are green,” the Antonius von Padua School and the ambinius Kita are planting a row of trees to make the access to the school on Carl-Schurz-Straße more attractive.
The antonius Café opens at 9 a.m. and offers a communal breakfast, musically accompanied by pianist Leon Jeske from the Brandenstein Music School. A varied cultural program follows in the festival barn: the ambinius choir performs at 11.30 a.m., the antonius show dance group at 12.30 p.m. and the antonius band at 2 p.m.
The Kistenhausen Marionette Theater shows two plays for children – “Spring Fairy” at 12.30 p.m. and “Bewitched Easter” at 2.30 p.m. Tickets are available in the Antonius online shop. If you want to get creative yourself, you can make hand puppets with the theater from 10:30 a.m. or create colorful watercolor cards with Freia from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Further participation activities round off the offer.
It's also worth a visit on the following day, March 22nd: the GestaltenWerk is offering an additional sale of handicraft and decorative items from the wood and ceramic workshops from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Antonius Café is also open.
