Fulda – The German Weather Service (DWD) officially warns of squalls in the Fulda district. This warning applies to altitudes above 800 meters. It comes into force around midnight on Friday night and is expected to remain in effect until Friday evening (March 13th) at 6 p.m.

“There is a risk of level 2 out of 4 squalls occurring,” warns the DWD. Individual branches could fall and objects could be thrown into the air. The weather service advises securing free-standing objects such as screens and furniture, securing tents and covers, and being alert for falling objects when outdoors.

Snowfall possible in Hesse on Friday and Saturday

According to the weather service forecast, sleet or snow could fall in the Hessian mountains, which could lead to slippery conditions. The lowest temperatures are between 6 and 2 degrees, in the peaks of the low mountain ranges, such as Rhön and Vogelsberg, down to -1 degrees.
