Gusts of wind, frost and snow clouds are moving over Hesse
“There is a risk of level 2 out of 4 squalls occurring,” warns the DWD. Individual branches could fall and objects could be thrown into the air. After frost is already expected locally near the ground on Friday night, it is also expected to fall overall on Friday in Hesse, according to the DWD.Weather-Forecast will be uncomfortable, which is due to the lows “Fritaun” and “Gina”. Maritime, wet and cold subpolar air is brought in.
“Due to the size, location and strength of the low, the subpolar area somewhere between Greenland and Canada can be identified as the origin of the air masses that will 'bless us' in the coming days,” says qualified meteorologist Martin Jonas from the German Weather Service. The lows mentioned are expected to circle around Iceland until the weekend.
For Hesse this means increasingly dense clouds on Friday. From Friday afternoon onwards, some showery rain will move in from the north-west. Temperatures reach highs between 11 and 15 degrees, and around 8 degrees in the higher mountains. Strong to stormy gusts can also occur there.
Snowfall possible in Hesse on Friday and Saturday
