During a hike in the Tyrolean mountains, a man from Bavaria suddenly lost his footing and fell around 370 meters. A rescue helicopter can only retrieve his body.
Tourist from Bavaria has a fatal accident
A German tourist had a fatal accident during a ski tour in Tyrol. The 43-year-old from the Weilheim-Schongau district (Bavaria) climbed the 2,341-meter-high Thaneller mountain in the Reutte district with a 51-year-old companion on Saturday morning (March 7th), the police reported.

Helicopter recovered the body
The two wanted to drive down the valley via the northern channel. The younger man fell shortly before noon at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters, fell around 370 meters and died. A police helicopter crew recovered the body. The friend was uninjured. (fkl/dpa)
