Ballermann star breaks iron ruleExclusive! Here Mickie Krause shows us his family for the first time
He shows a completely different side of himself!
Ballermann star Mickie Krause (55) actually keeps his family meticulously out of the public eye – until now! He makes an exception for RTL and appears with his wife Ute and three of his four children. But where did the sudden change of heart come from?
Mickie Krause: “My children are old enough today”
RTL is allowed to film Mickie's wife Ute and his three daughters as an exception, as you see in the video above – otherwise they strictly stay out of the public eye. But now it's different!

Mickie Krause in the RTL interview: “My children are of course old enough today to make this decision on their own.” And further: “I think you can do that at 18 or 19 and it’s also important to my daughters to possibly be seen for a good cause.” His ten-year-old son, however, cannot make the decision yet and should therefore not be seen any further.
Mickie Krause and his wife Ute have been a couple since 1991
Mickie and his ute have been a couple since 1991, and they got married in 1999. They have four children together, three daughters and a son. The last offspring will be born in 2015. The family lives in Wettringen, a community near Münster. The second homes: Norderney and, of course, Mallorca.

Now Mickie, Ute and the daughters went to Mombasa in Kenya. The reason: a special project by the Ballermann star! The musician has now opened a school there, which he helped finance himself. The Schlager star donated a brand new physics and chemistry room for around 58,000 euros. The brains behind it: Reiner Meutsch with his “Fly & Help” foundation. “It’s a matter close to my heart,” says Mickie in an RTL interview. “I have four children myself and I see how important education is.”

A first public snapshot for the 20th wedding anniversary
For decades, it was important to Mickie that his family not become part of the public. Only a few years ago he made a small exception: On his 20th wedding anniversary with his ute, he posted a picture from that time on Instagram. He wrote: “20 years ago today I realized: 'Now the mark is only worth 50 pfennigs!'”
Otherwise, the pop star hardly spoke about his family. He conducted one of very few private interviews with Bunte in 2023. In it he made it clear: his ute always had his back! “My wife has been with me since the beginning of my career, she basically grew up with it. I never had to explain to her when I was out on a Friday evening and didn't come back until Sunday afternoon – completely exhausted,” he explained. “She just let me do my thing over the years.”
While Mickie was in the spotlight and on the big stages, his wife stayed at home, taking care of the household and raising the children. “She was responsible for making sure everything at home worked. And I was on the road a lot.”
