Drama in AustriaGerman coach collides with car – 24 people injured

The reason for the accident between the bus and the car is still unclear.

In Tyrol, a coach from Bavaria collides with a car. Two people are seriously injured. More than 20 bus passengers sustained minor injuries. The car involved in the accident also comes from Germany.
In an accident involving a German coach and a German car in Austria, 24 people were injured, at least two of them seriously. 20 of the 47 bus passengers suffered minor injuries, according to the police in Tyrol. The three car occupants and the Greek bus driver had to be taken to hospital.
The bus from the Aichach-Friedberg district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia collided with a car from the Karlsruhe district on the Fernpass road in Tyrol near Bichlbach. It is still unclear how the collision occurred.
According to police, the accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Both the car and the bus were significantly damaged. The road was temporarily completely closed. Among other things, fuel had leaked onto the road. The result was kilometers of traffic jams in both directions. After two hours, traffic was initially led alternately in one direction past the scene of the accident. The road was only reopened at 10:20 a.m.
