The police show is coming to Schlüchtern in August. The entire blue light family will present themselves on the Mauerwiese. Musicians and caterers are still being sought.
Schlüchtern – The police show is expected in the Bergwinkel town of Schlüchtern from August 21st to 23rd. Mayor Matthias Möller would like to offer the entire blue light family a platform this weekend. In order to create an appealing supporting program, the city in Kinzigtal is still looking for caterers and musicians.
Helicopters, water cannons: blue light spectacle
“We are very pleased that the police show is coming to the Mauerwiese in Schlüchtern. We want to make it a big event, because these important professions and voluntary positions deserve a lot of attention,” Mayor Matthias Möller is quoted as saying in a city press release sent out by the communications agency Bensing & Reith.
But what exactly is the police show (as it already took place in Bad Soden-Salmünster in 2023)? The police present themselves at this event Hesse. The rider and dog squadron, special vehicles such as helicopters, motorcycles and water cannons as well as the criminal police will be presented. Insights and advice on how to protect against burglary are provided.

There is also information and advice on careers in the police. This weekend, other members of the blue light family, such as the Schlüchtern fire departments, the Red Cross, the lifeguards from the DLRG, the technical relief organization THW and other organizations, will also have the opportunity to present.
“This weekend there will be huge interest in all the jobs in the blue light family. Maybe this will get some people interested in volunteering right here on site. That would be great,” says Mayor Matthias Möller.
