As Norwegian media are currently reporting, the 52-year-old was taken to an Oslo hospital by her family on Thursday (June 4). The first photos show the serious moment – and are now causing great excitement among royal fans. She has now left the clinic again.

For days there have been new headlines about the state of health Princess Mette-Marit. The wife of Crown Prince Haakon (52) has been suffering from chronic pulmonary fibrosis for years, a serious and incurable disease that is said to have recently significantly impaired her health. Now the situation seems to have gotten even worse.

According to information from the newspaper Verdens Gang (VG), the Crown Princess was taken to the hospital on Thursday (June 4th) – accompanied by her loved ones. The published images show the royals in a tense situation. A photographer for the newspaper observed the royal family driving away from their Skaugum residence at 1:49 p.m.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra (22) is said to have driven the car, with mom Mette-Marit in the passenger seat and dad Haakon in the back seat. At around 2:10 p.m. the car, followed by a PST security vehicle, reached the Rikshospitalet in Oslo. The Crown Prince couple got out of the car while Ingrid Alexandra drove away. When entering the hospital, Mette-Marit is said to have been carrying a mobile oxygen device on her back.
NRK reported later in the afternoon that Mette-Marit, Haakon and Ingrid Alexandra were in the hospital for around three hours. She has now left the clinic again. As on arrival, the Crown Prince carried his wife's bags. Mette-Marit herself even had a slight smile on her lips.
