In Fulda, final examinees can receive a video blessing via WhatsApp. A candle is lit for this purpose on the day of the exam.
Fulda – Get a personal blessing directly on your cell phone via WhatsApp: This offer is aimed at everyone in Fulda who is about to take their oral Abitur or final exams.
Under the motto “You are not alone,” the Protestant and Catholic Churches in Fulda invite you to a low-threshold digital project, as the participating communities announce. High school graduates and other final examinees can easily register via WhatsApp – with their exam date, optionally also with their first name and exam subject.
Churches in Fulda offer exam blessings via WhatsApp
On each exam day, Pastor Jana Koch-Zeißig from the Christ Church and community representative Elena Otto from the Catholic inner-city parish light a candle in a Fulda church for the registered examinees and send them a short video blessing on their cell phone. “Many young people are very tense, especially before oral exams,” says Koch-Zeißig. “With the blessing we want to give a moment of peace and make it clear: you are more than this test,” adds Otto.
According to the churches, the offer is deliberately designed to be open and is aimed at all final examinees – regardless of their religious affiliation. The focus is on a short period of pause, combined with encouraging words and a blessing.
Registration takes place via WhatsApp message with the exam date (also first name and subject) to the number 0157/50485167. The project is supported by the Fulda cooperation area (“Together Protestant in Fulda”) and the children and youth ministry of the Catholic inner-city parish.
A low-threshold offer from the Christ Church is aimed at Couples in Fulda and the surrounding area. You can get married spontaneously on June 26th or have your relationship blessed.
