In December 2025, the train station district in Fulda was included in an urban development funding program by the state of Hesse. Now the city is inviting people to its first citizens’ meeting.

Fulda – The train station district in Fulda is a special place, the city announced in a press release: city entrance to the city center, mobility and transit space, consumer mile, place of residence and lived-in neighborhood.

Since December 2025 the area is part of the urban development funding program “Growth and Sustainable Renewal”. In order to make the area around the train station fit for the future, the city of Fulda is now starting the participation process for the integrated urban development concept (ISEK) with an interdisciplinary planning team made up of city planners and mobility experts.
