Attentive neighbor becomes a lifesaver!
When she noticed two people with a rope in the stairwell, she immediately called the police. The officers found a 14-year-old in a life-threatening condition and were able to resuscitate her. The girl is now in an induced coma. Particularly explosive: A 20-year-old Swede is suspected of having taken part in the suicide attempt. He is now under investigation.

A woman picks up her cell phone and potentially saves a life. On Tuesday evening (May 26th), the neighbor noticed two people with a rope in a stairwell in Vienna. The situation seems serious. She immediately alerted the police, as the Austrian news portal meine.at reported. When the emergency services arrived at around 9:35 p.m., every second counted.

The police found the girl in the house in critical condition. The emergency services and the Vienna professional rescue service were able to resuscitate the young person and then take her to a hospital. According to the police, she is currently being kept there in an artificial coma.
20-year-old is said to have helped
Shortly after the incident, the investigation focused on a 20-year-old Swede. He is temporarily arrested and is suspected of having taken part in the girl's attempted suicide. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office (life and limb investigation) is taking over the case.
During his interrogation, the 20-year-old is said to have stated that he had provided the rope for the suicide attempt. He came from Sweden specifically to meet the 14-year-old. A first suicide attempt by the young people is said to have failed. She finally tried again herself.
The man was taken to a correctional facility. He is said to have confessed to helping in the attempted suicide. He is presumed innocent until he is convicted.
