Fulda – Nine people were temporarily arrested during large-scale searches in Neuhof and Flieden. This emerges from a joint press release from the Fulda public prosecutor's office and the East Hesse police headquarters.
According to the information, the measures took place on Thursday morning and were aimed at several addresses in the communities of Neuhof and Flieden. Accordingly, the operations were in connection with an investigation into suspected illegal residence, forgery of documents and aiding and abetting these crimes. The search warrants had previously been requested by the public prosecutor and issued by the Fulda district court.
Major operation in Neuhof and Flieden: Nine arrests
In the course of the operations, the East Hesse criminal police temporarily arrested nine people. In addition, various pieces of evidence were seized, which, according to the authorities, are now the subject of further investigations.
The suspicion of forgery of documents was not substantiated against four of those arrested, which is why they were released after the police measures were completed.
The investigators are still focusing on five people – a 27-year-old woman and four men between the ages of 20 and 27. According to the public prosecutor's office and the police, they are accused of, among other things, violations of the residence law and forgery of documents. They were processed for identification purposes. The responsible immigration authorities then issued a notice to leave the Federal Republic of Germany and asked them to leave the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to authorities, the investigations by the criminal police and the Fulda public prosecutor's office are ongoing.
