The DRK district association Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern is planning a name change. The new name is intended to symbolize cohesion. The official registration is still pending.
Schlüchtern – In the future it will probably be called “Kinzigtal”: The DRK district association Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern, based on Kurfürstenstrasse in Schlüchtern, is about to be renamed. It should be called the “DRK District Association of Kinzigtal”. All that remains is to complete formal steps.
DRK district association Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern becomes Kinzigtal
The DRK district association Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern, whose rescue service recently received top marks in 20225 should get a new name. At the extraordinary district meeting on January 16th, it was decided that the association should be renamed “DRK-Kinzigtal District Association”, according to the March issue of the “Rotkreuz-Nachrichten”.
In this case, the DRK board and the DRK regional association in Hesse must agree to the decision of the district assembly. These authorities have already approved the proposal, says Christof Hoffmann, President of the DRK district association Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern, when asked by the Fuldaer Zeitung.
“The change only needs to be entered into the association register by the local court.” However, Hoffmann cannot yet say when this will happen. The reason for the new name: “We want to show that we are an association,” explains Hoffmann. The Schlüchtern and Gelnhausen district associations merged in 2016.
According to the “Red Cross News”, the old lettering on vehicles and clothing should remain in place for the time being. They would only be adjusted when new purchases are made in the future. Meanwhile The rescue station in Sinntal is to be moved from Sterbfritz to Mottgers.
