A man ran through the street with a gun on Wednesday evening and fled into a house. The police were able to overpower the 40-year-old.
Fulda – A worrying incident led to a police operation in Fulda-Kohlhaus on Wednesday evening (May 21st). At around 9:15 p.m., witnesses alerted the officers after observing a man on Moselstrasse handling a sword-like object.

In a press release, the police said that the man retreated to a residential building there shortly afterwards – with the alleged weapon. The Fulda police emergency services responded quickly and were able to quickly clarify the situation on site: The man was a 40-year-old who was apparently in an exceptional psychological state.
It is thanks to the quick intervention of the officers that the man was taken into custody. No one was injured during the access. As the police concluded, there was never any real danger to the residents and the public.
A very similar incident also caused a stir in Kinzigtal: In Maintal, an armed duo also triggered a major police operation after several witnesses alerted the officers.
